This Modestone waterproof notepad is designed for taking notes and drawing outside in the harshest of weather conditions, from the highest mountains to the deepest seas. It has been developed from the so called stone paper using environment-friendly technologies. It is ideal for the military, rescue brigade as well as sports. You can use it on a military or police missions or take notes while fishing, building a house or even while taking a shower.

Revolutionary and ecological product

A Modestone notepad features stone paper sheets. It is a result of a long time research and development and the answer to the requirements of the military, rescuers, construction companies as well as sportsmen. Stone paper is manufactured using a revolutionary technology, which uses the waste from marble extraction and turns it into highly durable paper. This product contains 80% CaCo3 (calcium carbonate) and 20 % HDPE (high density polyethylene). The resulting material is recyclable and its manufacture is ecological too, since among other things, there is no need to cut down trees. In the production of 1 ton of the classic wood pulp paper, 20 trees are cut down and a tremendous amount of water is used, which is not the case with the stone paper.

Outstanding properties of stone paper

The "stone paper" sheets feature a number of unique properties. The most important one being the resistance to water, grease and dirt. Unlike other competing products, this notepad features impregnated cut edges, thanks to which it withstands a long time under water. Another great feature is that you can writeon the paper in extreme conditions using the regular pen or pencil. Even if you run out of ink, there is no need to worry. To write on the Modestone paper, you can use any sharp object, a nail, key or even a bullet. The stone paper has great mechanical properties too. Although you can tear off a sheet of paper from the notepads with no problem, the paper itself is very hard to tear.

Important details

On the inside of the boards we find some handy features for both the military and hikers. Here you find drawings of the most useful knots, Morse code and call signs, conversion formulas for metric and US units, ruler and scale to convert kilometres on the 1 : 50 000 map.
